The Working Together Initiative

The Working Together Initiative is an outreach project run by Relate London North West for the Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee (BAMER) communities of Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Harrow and Hillingdon and the organisations which support and serve them in the five boroughs.

This project has been running since April 2010 and is funded by the National Lottery, through the Big Lottery Fund, for a period of three years up to the end of March 2013.

The main aim of the project is to raise awareness of the services which Relate London North West can offer to BAMER communities through;

The provision of places on the Counselling Skills for Non  Counsellor’s course
Subsidised counselling and couple commitment sessions
Outreach work – from meeting with professionals serving BAMER communities to facilitating regular forums to gauge the views of BAMER organisations.
