Family Counselling
Changes in a family can cause stress for everyone. Long running disputes can cause pain to the whole family. Family Counselling is for either individuals or groups of family members who are affected. The counselling draws everyone together to help the family resolve its problems jointly. You will be offered an initial appointment within 2 weeks of contacting us and, if appropriate, go into family counselling after this. Otherwise, the counsellor will help you to decide what else you might do next.
Our Family Counsellors are experienced relationship experts who are specially trained to work with families. They are in professional supervision and undergo continuous professional development. In Family Counselling ‘family’ is used in its broadest sense to include parents, children, siblings (adult or child), step family members and extended family members. Any or all of these may attend counselling sessions. The counsellor will help you to explore relationships within the family and work with you to move on.
